With over 6000 members, the Institute of Public Relations is the largest professional body for public relations practitioners in Europe.
The aims of the IPR, which acts as the eyes, ears and voice of the profession in the United Kingdom, are:
- To provide a professional structure for the practice of public relations
- To enhance the ability and status of its members as professional practitioners
- To represent and serve the professional interests of its members
- To provide opportunities for members to meet and exchange views and ideas
- To raise standards within the profession through the promotion of best practice - including the production of best practice guides, training events and seminars, and a Continuous Professional Development scheme.
